Brave Leadership

90 Day Program for leadership teams who want to create a culture of sustainable peak performance.

The greatest barrier most leadership teams face are the outdated work habits that make them distracted and inefficient.

The depletion of energy

Leadership energy has taken a nose dive.

86% of leaders report feeling used up at the end of their work day and at risk of burnout.

The average sleep time for a business leader is 6.6 hours per night.

42% of leaders sleep less than 6 hours per night.

Leaders who discount the value of sleep often pass this behavior on to their team.

Our Dual Brain

The human brain has evolved to act from both the prefrontal cortex and the hindbrain depending on the situation.

The prefrontal cortex is responsible for higher-level thinking, decision-making, and impulse control.

The hindbrain is responsible for survival instincts and automatic responses to perceived threats.

The Survivor Brain

The hindbrain governs our survival instincts, such as fight or flight, and is activated during stress.

When leading from our survivor brain we are more likely to rely on authority and power to control others rather than building trust and collaboration. This can be the root cause of work environments that are tense, fearful, and unproductive.

It is important for leaders to understand the impact of the survivor brain and manage stress and react in a more thoughtful and intentional manner, particularly when leading others

The Leader Brain

The prefrontal cortex (leader brain) is responsible for higher cognitive functions such as decision making, problem solving, empathy, and self-regulation. It is the brain region that allows us to think critically, plan for the future, and regulate our emotions.

Accessing this region enables leaders to make informed decisions, manage emotions, and build relationships based on trust and collaboration.

Leaders who can access the prefrontal cortex are more likely to create a positive work environment, foster innovation and creativity, and inspire their teams to achieve their full potential.

Like any leaders, everyone in business is going through tough times. I (and the team) were working incredibly long hours and I knew we needed to take better care of ourselves. When I saw Patrick's presentation I said “that’s it right there. This is what the team needs”. I would highly recommend it.

This workshop prompted discussion we might not of had, digging deeper and allowed me to get to know my teammates and start to develop better trust.

Patrick presented at our Summer Sales conference in Nashville. For some of us it was a long night the night before. We had Patrick first thing , the energy he brought into the room was infectious.

There is that quote from Socrates that says 'To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom' and that is the encapsulation of what this program is all about.
